10-Year Residency: UAE Golden Visa Application for Dh30,000 Salary Earners

Query: Am I qualified for the UAE Golden Visa with a monthly salary of Dh30,000? Kindly provide details about other prerequisites and the application process.

Response: Considering your situation, it is assumed that your employment is within mainland Dubai, thus falling under the jurisdiction of Cabinet Resolution No. 65 of 2022, which approves the Implementing Regulations for Federal Decree-Law No. 29/2021 on Foreigners’ Entry and Residency.

In the UAE, individuals categorized as professionals by the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MoHRE) and holding a bachelor’s degree with a minimum monthly salary of Dh30,000 are eligible for the UAE Golden residency visa under the provisions of Article 17 of the Annexure to Cabinet Resolution No. 65 of 2022.

The authority is authorized to issue a Golden Visa in this category for employment purposes to individuals who fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Possess a valid work contract leading to a work permit within the country.
  2. Qualify as a skilled worker at either the first or second professional level, as per the occupational classification endorsed by the MoHRE.
  1. A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is the minimum educational requirement.
  2. The monthly salary should not fall below Dh30,000 or its foreign currency equivalent.
  3. Possession of a valid license to practice professions like doctor, pharmacist, teacher, and other approved for the Golden Visa is mandatory.
  4. Comprehensive health insurance for both yourself and your family members is necessary when applying for the golden residency, or as required by the relevant local authority.

If you meet these prerequisites, you’re eligible to apply for the UAE golden residency visa with a monthly salary of Dh30,000.

Additionally, you might need to submit copies of your passport, Emirates ID, salary certificate, a six-month bank statement, employment contract, NOC from your employer, and a qualification certificate that has been notarized and legalized in your home country or where you obtained the qualification. This qualification should also be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation.

Following this, you can proceed to apply for the UAE golden residency visa either through the GDRFA’s smart application on their web portal or at one of the GDRFA-approved typing centers in Dubai. If you’re a resident of another emirate, the application might need to be made through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICA) or one of the ICA-approved typing centers.
